USTRANSCOM Re-Evaluating GHC Proposals

In communications with US TRANSCOM, AMSA learned that they are reviewing pertinent information regarding the Global Household Goods Contract (GHC) award decision and plan on taking corrective action with GAO. US TRANSCOM will re-evaluate all proposals and render a new award decision to either the current bid team or another interested party.

US TRANSCOM provided the following statement, “An interested party has presented US TRANSCOM with information that they believe should have been considered in the Global Household Goods Contract award decision. US TRANSCOM intends to take corrective action to consider this new information, gather facts, and conduct a review of the award.” Spokesman Dave Dunn also said, “We anticipate the corrective action to be complete in the coming weeks”. At this point the transition phase of GHC is halted.

AMSA also reached out to American Roll-On-Roll-Off for the following comments regarding the corrective action “The US TRANSCOM has decided to take corrective action in response to protests of the contract awarded under Solicitation No. HTC711-19-R-R004. Corrective action occurs in a substantial number of GAO protests where an agency determines that it would like to address potential issues in the record or raised by the protests. US TRANSCOM will re-evaluate proposals and render a new award decision.”

When US TRANSCOM discusses details of those plans with GAO, more information and an updated timeline will be released. As we learn more, AMSA will continue to keep our members informed.
