February 25, 2020
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Apex Moving + Storage of Antioch, Tenn., an agent for Atlas Van Lines, has won the highly-coveted 2019 Moving & Storage Agent of the Year Service Excellence Award from the American Moving & Storage Association. Apex Moving + Storage was selected for the award by a panel of experts out of approximately 2,000 eligible companies across the country.
The Agent of the Year Award reflects AMSA’s and the industry’s commitment to excellent customer service, and is presented to an agent nominated by their affiliated van line based on customer surveys and van line experience. Nominations are judged primarily on customer service assessments and other industry awards and recognitions. Consideration is also given to factors such as leadership, innovation, community involvement, and activities that enhance the industry’s image.
Since its founding in 1972, Apex has strived to enhance the image of the relocation industry through innovation, quality of service, and willingness to serve. The company maintains strict quality standards, ethical business practices, and certification as a ProMover by the American Moving & Storage Association.
Apex has been repeatedly recognized for the example it sets in achieving distinguished customer satisfaction. The moving company was recently named a 2019 Milton M. Hill Quality Award winner by Atlas Van Lines for the third time since 2009. Atlas Milton M. Hill Quality Award winners are recognized for achieving outstanding performance ratings in customer satisfaction, estimating, claims, safety, and warehouse operations.
Apex supports its local community in a variety of ways, contributing time and resources to non-profits of all sizes. The company is passionate about middle Tennessee’s youth and is involved with the local elementary, middle and high schools and youth services organizations to help battle food insecurity for students with food drives and distribution. Apex also makes an impact in the classroom by funding many teachers’ school supplies, ensuring that they can remain focused on curriculum and teaching.
The company supports other local community organizations, including Friends of Life Golf Tournament, Delek Tournament of Hope, and the Asurion Charitable Tournament. Apex often lends its trucks and crew free of charge to load and transport goods for these organizations and others.
In addition, Apex works diligently with Move For Hunger, a non-profit that fights nationwide hunger by gathering non-perishable items from household moves and delivering them to community food banks. To date, Apex has donated over 100,000 pounds of food, or almost 77,000 meals. Apex was named the 2018 Move For Hunger Mover of the Year after contributing the most food for local food banks in the entire Atlas agency network.
“We are honored and humbled to be recognized as a standout in our industry by one of its most meaningful voices,” said Mark Duke, president of Apex Moving + Storage. “After nearly four decades in business, we remain committed to providing the best service and experience to our employees and customers, and we are fortunate to be supported by Atlas Van Lines in our efforts.”
