This course is invaluable and has been recognized by graduates and AMSA members alike for its practical tips and tools. Successful applicants take part in a five-month self-study course enabling the understanding and development of their leadership style, decision-making process, and communication skills within and outside of their organization.
AMSA Leaders Program Graduates — Class of 2018
In addition to completing the self-study program, which begins Monday, Nov. 6, participants interact with a learning cohort, complete an on-the-job project with input from their supervisors, and participate in a two-day boot camp in conjunction with AMSA’s Annual Education Conference & Expo.
According to Jimbo Loftin, Coleman’s vice president of quality, the program offered a great opportunity to “…reflect on how you make decisions and consider the future impact of each of these decisions on yourself, your local operation, and your entire company.”
Applicants for the program should be those individuals identified as future senior corporate executives and/or CEOs who should already be working in a management level position within their company, or those who are existing managers, strong entry level managers, or those individuals identified as potential future leaders who would benefit from industry-specific management skills and training. Applicants for the leaders portion of the program will need approval from their company’s senior executive.
